Brian Holman

Founder Executive Director & High School Principal

Brian Holman is the Founder and Executive Director of Empower College Prep. Previously, he supervised teachers in general education and special education for grades K-12 as a Program Director for 4 years with Teach For America. Mr. Holman has also served his community as the chair of his church’s outreach team and Secretary of the Diaconate. He holds Master’s Degrees in Education Administration from the University of Phoenix and in Curriculum and Instruction from Arizona State University. His Bachelor’s Degree is in Journalism from Indiana University, where he also majored in Political Science and was published for his honors thesis, The Supreme Court and the Establishment Clause.

Heather Love

Assistant Principal

Heather Love is excited to work with the Empower College Prep High School Community. She has previously served on school Leadership Teams as an Academic Coach and Dean of Academics. Heather has over twenty years of experience in education, with ten of those years spent in the classroom as a High School English Teacher. Heather, who is passionate about education, builds strong relationships with teachers, scholars, and families because she knows it takes all of us working together in order to help scholars succeed.  It is her belief that by championing an equitable, culturally diverse curriculum all students will be empowered to reach their full potential. Heather received her degree in English from the University of Illinois, has a Masters degree in Secondary Education, and a Masters degree in Leadership and Administration both from the University of Phoenix. Heather is certified as a K-12 Principal and 6-12 Teacher for the state of Arizona.  She enjoys spending time with her family, reading, music, and travel.

Kimberly Ward

Assistant Principal of Scholar Development

Kimberly Ward is the Assistant Principal of Scholar Development at Empower College Prep (Grades K-12). She has worked in education for over 20 years in the Phoenix area. She has earned a Bachelor of Arts in Education and Master of Arts in Educational Leadership from Arizona State University. Her classroom experience includes Math Instruction (7th, 8th, and Honors Algebra), English Language Arts Instruction (2nd, 3rd, 5th, and 7th ELA), and Instructional Coach. As the Assistant Principal of Scholar Development, she partners with all departments to provide a safe space for all scholars and families to learn and develop their gifts and interests.

Dr. Tom Wilson

Career and College Counselor

Dr. Tom Wilson is College and Career Counselor for grades 9 and 10. Dr. Wilson is also the 21st
Century Site Coordinator for the high school. He has over 30 years of experience in education,
serving as a teacher, counselor and administrator. He has a Doctorate in K-12 Educational
Leadership, Master’s Degree in Community and School Counseling, Bachelor’s Degree in
Secondary Education and an Associate’s Degree in Business Management and Accounting.
When he has free time, he enjoys spending time with his dog, Tweety Bird, and the poolside
paradise in his backyard.

Eric Figueroa

Career and College Counselor

Eric Figueroa serves as the College and Career Guidance counselor for Empower College Prep. Eric is originally from the Bronx, New York and has been working in education for over 14 years. Eric has taught students from around the world including New York City, Costa Rica, The United Arab Emirates and Brazil. Through his ability to motivate and inspire students, he has helped hundreds of students apply and get accepted into colleges and universities across the nation. Eric is excited to join the Empower College Prep community and provide exceptional student services and authentic academic support.

Milani Clements

Registrar and Alumni Liaison

Milani Clements is the Registrar and Alumni Liaison for Empower College Prep (ECP). She has had the pleasure of watching ECP grow over the years. She has watched the organization grow from one 4th grade class, ten years ago, to the powerhouse we are today. In her role, Milani oversees the accuracy of student information, records, and attendance. However, the role she cherishes most is the connections she makes with students within our ECP community. Milani helps our students navigate both academically and socially through their careers at Empower College Prep which has enabled her to foster lifelong bonds with the alumni of ECP. Milani is dedicated to the motto “go to college…change the world”. She feels blessed to be a part of the student community. Milani enjoys cruise ships and spending time with her family. She has four children that she loves deeply, along with her English bulldog, Cash.
