High School Culture Coordinator

Empower College Prep is seeking a High School Culture Coordinator who is responsible for working directly with the High School culture team with maintaining a positive school culture on campus. The High School Culture Coordinator will be committed to the mission and values of Empower College Prep.

Empower College Prep began in 2012 with a commitment to be a movement of teachers partnering with parents to transform the educational and life opportunities of their children; and to empower these children to transform their community, their country, and their world.

In 2020, we sent our first graduating class of students to college, expanded to serve grades K-2, and welcomed more than 800 students onto a new, $20 million campus on the I-17 just north of Camelback.

Over the past two years, Empower College Prep has continued to exceed the state and national average for college enrollment despite poverty and the world-wide pandemic. Now, the Charter School is preparing to add preschool and codify its Pre-K – 12 program to ensure consistency and excellence on its Colter campus and additional campuses in future years.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Conference with staff, scholars and parents/guardians concerning discipline, attendance, and scholar behavior; administer disciplinary action as necessary, and notifies parents/guardians of action taken. Consult with School Director, counselor, grade-level team members, and others to find long term solutions to inappropriate student behavior.
  • Monitor lunch and recess, halls, school grounds, and pupil movement to ensure a safe and orderly environment at the school.
  • Assist in the creation of and potentially provide staff development for the instructional staff and other assigned personnel regarding, classroom management, effective discipline strategies, and conferencing techniques; Articulate and support school safety initiatives to the faculty and school community.
  • With humility and perseverance, continually increase effectiveness of your individual practice and your team’s performance in ways aligned to the organization’s vision, mission, and values.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned, such as weekend or after school events. Supervise students outside of the classroom setting and attend events such as athletic games, dances, Open Houses, and project expos

The successful candidate will have the following special skills, certificates, or training:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Bachelors degree preferred
  • Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training
  • A Valid IVP (Identity Verified Print) fingerprint clearance card

Pay: $45,000.00 – $54,000.00 per year
